Allison Salem » Staff

Allison joined Reachout, Inc. in 2012 following a 7 year career as a certified child life ppecialist at Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital and Boston Children’s Hospital. She continues to share her passion for working with young children and families now in their natural environment.  While supporting the family as a whole, she strives to focus on each child’s ability rather than disability and celebrate progress no matter how big or small.  Allison earned a Bachelor of Science degree in child development from Colby-Sawyer College.  Special areas of interest include, complex medical needs, autism, sibling support, child and maternal mental health, and the power of play.  She enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and friends, especially with her husband and their two wonderful little boys.
